Acceptable Use and Data Licensing
Rules for responsible use of Zephira data, APIs and agent integrations.
1. Use the scope you purchased
Use only the data, delivery channels, account permissions and purposes granted by your order. Internal business integration through a documented API is allowed within that scope. Resale, embedded distribution, bulk redistribution, sublicensing and model training need express licence rights. Existing expressly granted resale or retention rights are preserved.
2. Protect access and service integrity
Do not share personal sign-in credentials, expose API secrets, evade quotas with additional accounts, access another customer’s information, interfere with service availability or extract data through unauthorised scraping. Respect documented rate limits, security controls and permissions. Report a suspected vulnerability without accessing or disclosing unnecessary data.
3. Respect people and their rights
Do not use personal information for harassment, stalking, doxxing, unlawful discrimination, deceptive contact, unlawful profiling or prohibited surveillance. A business role or public register entry does not waive privacy rights. Establish a lawful basis, provide required notices, honour objections and suppression requests, and comply with local direct-marketing rules.
4. Regulated and consequential decisions
Company records support a review; they do not replace identity checks, sanctions controls, credit underwriting or regulatory obligations. Do not treat a name match, an empty result or missing ownership data as a conclusive approval or allegation. Check identifiers, source dates and limitations before adverse action.
The service is not offered as a consumer reporting service. Use for employment, housing, insurance or consumer-credit eligibility under the FCRA or an equivalent regime requires a separate written agreement supporting that purpose and all required legal safeguards. Solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects require separate assessment and safeguards under applicable law.
5. AI and automated clients
Keep agent credentials and data access limited to the intended task. Treat retrieved text as data, validate outputs against source records and use meaningful review for consequential actions. Do not allow an AI client to redistribute data or train a model beyond your licence. You are responsible for the client you select, what you send to it and its retention or training settings.
6. Source rights and representation
Keep required provenance, timestamps and attribution with delivered records. Do not imply that a derived field is an official registry statement, that an authority endorses your product, or that access to public information guarantees unrestricted reuse. Do not present test data or illustrative examples as verified findings about a real business.
7. Sanctions, export and unlawful activity
Do not use or supply the service in violation of applicable sanctions, export restrictions, anti-bribery or other laws. You must assess the restrictions applying to your end users and downstream delivery. Contact us before introducing a materially different or restricted use case.
8. Reporting and enforcement
Report misuse, disputed records or security concerns to office@zephira.ai with enough detail to investigate, without sending secrets. We may investigate, restrict or suspend proportionately under the Terms and Conditions, with notice where lawful and practicable. An allegation or automated alert alone is not a final finding of wrongdoing.
